Well Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

There's been a lot of change this year for us here. July 2nd Brittany gave birth to our first child Amara. Parenthood has been amazing and a real eye opener in every sense of the word. We are still getting used to operating on 5 hours of sleep (on a good night) and appreciating everything our parents ever did for us. Honestly that's been the main focus It's been pretty all-consuming. I have been taking more time off to spend with Amara and trying not to stress about doing everything right. I am realizing that though there are a thousand books out there about parenting the only thing that can really prepare you for it is doing it and learning from your mistakes. I'm just trying not to make to many big ones! She is growing so fast and we are really excited for her first Christmas.

This year has flown by, it feels like everything has been in a time warp. But I guess that's pretty normal it's just hard to believe that another Christmas is right around the corner, and then directly after that 2012 rolling in. If there's one thing I've learned this year it's the importance of being present in my life, because time IS flying by and if I'm not paying attention I'll miss out on all the really important stuff and that basically comes down to spending time with the people that i care about.

So this holiday season I hope you all see the important things in your lives and make time for them and be grateful for them.

Since it's Thanksgiving coming up I'd say that's what I'm thankful for this year. My friends and family and especially my daughter who has shown me what is truly important in life....
